Penstemon 'Gladiator'

A hardy, upright perennial shrub, that grows to 70cm tall, and 70cm wide.

It has clusters of deep burgundy red, tubular flowers, with a cream coloured throat. Flowers from Spring through to Autumn. For best results, prune back well after flowering to keep compact and lush.

Suits a full sun to part shade position, in well-draining soil. A very hardy plant, easy to grow and drought tolerant. 

A lovely feature in a cottage garden, plant in mass for a wow factor. Also suited to larger tubs or containers. Wonderful for attracting bees.
