Matthiola incana Giant Column Lilac

A hardy, short lived perennial, that grows to 60cm tall, and 15cm wide.

Bushy, upright stems with glorious clusters of double flowers, lilac lavendar in colour. The flowers have a lovely, sweet scent, and appear from Spring through to Summer.

Suits a full sun position, in well-draining soil.

Looks wonderful in any cottage garden as a tall border, around rocks or in a flower bed. Makes fabulous, fragrant cut flowers. Attracts birds, bees, butterflies and other beneficial insects!
