Cistus ladanifer

An upright, bushy perennial, that grows to 150cm tall, and 150cm wide.

Large, crinkly, paper-like flowers that can grow up to 10cm in width. Individual flowers last for a day, but the plant continues to produce flowers in spring through to early summer. The foliage is covered in a resin that is sweetly scented in the heat.

Suits a full sun to part shade position, in well-draining soil. Quite hardy and drought tolerant. 

A fantastic flower display for your cottage garden, but is also suited to embankments, coastal gardens and even rockeries.
